Pick up seemed okay, I felt I knew more information that I received from online than the employee did. Our vehicle was all beat up on the outside, no floor mats, sticky stuff on the inside. Had good a/c and got us to and from locations which was the main thing. Wished it was cleaner and not so dented prior. Made us nervous we would be charged after. Check out was not so good. Employee checked car in and sent us to get printed receipt which we needed and the employee at the desk had an attitude huffing and puffing as if we were annoying her by asking for our closing receipt. Not very personable on the trips to and from airport on shuttle but each trip they did help load and load luggage and opened doors.

Overall, this was a horrible experience renting through Ace. I made a reservation while on vacation with my family. Once I arriving I was advised that my reservation had expired because I was 4 hours late. I explained to the representative that I call after noticing my pickup was at noon, but my flight arrived at seven. I was told it wouldn't be a problem. The representative told me that the customer service team I called is not connected to their center. He said it's nothing he can do and sat down. I Uber to the hotel and rented from Buget then next day. Horrible customer service!

The email from Easirent with information about my car rental listed Charlotte as the airport instead of Las Vegas which caused me unnecessary confusion and concern. When I tried calling the phone number listed, I was connected to an international agency with an automated message saying they were closed. The email from Easirent also did not explain that we would be taking two separate shuttles to get to the rental center causing further confusion. It was not communicated that Easirent was offsite.

I booked a car in advance and arrived on time. There was only two customers in line also waiting for cars, but the staff said they were “trying to find enough cars”, and then the desk staff had to personally clean the only car that was available. When it was my turn at the desk, they told me my only option was to accept a car with a cracked windshield. I ended up having to leave (after waiting an hour) to rent a car from a different company.

I would rent from Fox again but I’d be way more likely to rent from Fox if there was a way to use their car for toll roads on only the days when you’re planning to use it on those roads instead of paying for toll usage for the entire duration of the trip. Having to pay for the entire duration even though I only wanted to use tolls for one day meant that the cost was much higher and the value not really that great.

I prepaid for a Hertz rental car for our 5 day vacation. However when we arrived to the rental location, there were no cars available. The Hertz staff were unhelpful and did nothing to remedy the situation besides giving me the Hertz phone number. In short we lost money and time and gained nothing from the experience except the wisdom to never book through Kayak again.

Was notified 30 minutes before pick up time there was no car available for me. I was told they would call me within 20 mins with a car & never heard back. I continued calling them throughout the day, each time there was a different excuse why there wasn’t a car available. Had to rent from enterprise

I made a reservation about two weeks in advance of my trip, when I went to pick up the car the assistant manager told me they didn’t have anymore cars and they haven’t had any for two days. That’s not the end of it, when I inquired about why I wasn’t informed the assistant manager told me that they’ve been “trying to call me” But the problem is I actually called this particular Hertz office the day before pick up and then the morning of and both times my reservation was confirmed by the associate. This manager never apologized and showed a complete disregard for the inconvenience and then gave me an attitude for being upset quote “I don’t know what you want me to do” and shrugged her shoulders. When I inquired about my refund she said “we didn’t charge you” as she walked off to the back. I will not be doing business here ever again.

Drop off was easy

Cons:

Budget called a day before to inform that all cars were sold out and cancelled the rental . Then on the day of the rental they called to inform they now have a car available. Very unreliable to rent if you have solid plans for the day . Also they overcharged

Every person that I encountered was incredibly polite, efficient and competent . My flight arrived one hour before the Alamo/Enterprise desk opened. I would have loved the ability to pick up my car through a kiosk or something else to avoid a one hour wait for the desk to open.

The customer service isn't exceptional, but it's adequate. This is a respectable car company, one of the few remaining in an industry often marked by dishonesty. The staff were nice and helpful. The car was nice and clean. But we did experience over 40mins of delay before the car became available.

I bought insurance through Kayak. When I picked up the car the SixT agent said we have to put a €1500 hold on your card in case of damage. I never heard of that before. I took the car and after 5 days returned it in the same condition I received it. The SixT agent said all was good and I expected the €1500 hold to be reversed. It’s been more than 24 hours but the hold is still on. Be careful when renting from SixT.

While I had a reservation, I did not rent a cat from SIXT. They were inflexible in working with me to change my reservation (due to airline flight delays.) and ultimately charged my card even though I never arrived for picking up the car ( note I did Not have a Prepaid rate. My reservation was for a Pay on Pickup.)

Despite having a reservation to rent a car for a single day in Puebla, when we showed up we were told there was no car available. Then the man at the front desk said there was a car available but it would be more expensive due to local tax. We were okay with this, but he then said we needed to put down a deposit of $5000 usd, which seemed crazy for just one day. He then changed the deposit amount to $88 usd. The entire interaction felt like he was just making up numbers. It felt very sketchy so we decided to forget renting a car entirely and just traveled via bus…..

We could not arrive on time before the agency closing hour. We tried to call the customer service to let them know and that we would come the next Day to pick up the car. The telephone number was not attributed so no chance to get anyone on the Phone. The next Day we showed up to the agency only to find out the car was no longer avalaible and our booking non refundable. Terrible terrible customer experience... We had to book another car and lost around 110 CHF over this crazy stupid process.

No chairs in the rental office. You have to stand up while waiting for the only employee to get to you (and it could be a long wait). No modern credit card machine so I had to be in contact with my credit card provider in order to authorize the deal. No way to buy CDW online (I got an email saying the order was confirmed, but was unable to find it using the thrifty website). I rented a car from the exact same location 2 years ago and had the exact same issues. It seems that nothing had changed since. The car itself was excellent, but the headache around the order was a letdown.

Everything was fine. There was a bit of a wait to pickup the car & mixup on car itself compared to the rental agreement. But everyone handled it fast, smooth, & positively. Drop off was smooth. No issues at all. The only inquiry or recommendation is to enhance the Dollar rental experience to be more like renting for Hertz, but there might be reasons I am not considering. Anyway, all good. Electronic car rentals themselves need some help, but that's the car & EV charging station issue not the rental company. Thanks
